I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. - Thomas Jefferson
This is not the time for silence, even if you're uncomfortable, you need to open up and tell people how you feel. It's one of those days when your vote could tip the balance, and that's a big responsibility. Tomorrow could very well be the most important day that your vote really made a difference since the beginning of our country. The difference of tyranny or liberty is in the balance.
In Congressional District 7, we have Ilario Pantano. Ilario is a committed conservative who is a family man, a respected combat veteran and small businessman. He is committed to promoting jobs because he has created jobs before. He is about revitalizing our economy, protecting our homeland and ensuring that we are governed by the Constitution as our Founding Fathers envisioned 234 years ago.
Ilario Pantano will preserve and promote our God-given liberties and constitutional rights. We must again teach history of our country and of the founding principles rooted in our Judeo/Christian values in our schools. Our military must teach the Constitution, and why it is important. When soldiers do not know their own Constitution, they do not appreciate their own liberty and why it is worth fighting for. We must educate our public and our own forces in order to fight the War of Ideas like a real war.
He will preserve our Second Amendment. From the very birth of our country when citizen militias responded to the call to arms and liberty, the right to bear arms was designed to protect a citizenry not only from each other, but from the government itself. Societies that have tightly controlled the ownership of guns have also substituted the governmental control of the nanny state in the place of self-reliance. In addition to the hunting and sporting aspects of firearms ownership, gun ownership exemplifies an individual's self-reliance and ability to protect one's self and one's family.
He will also preserve a child's right to life. The moral and Biblical imperatives to preserve and protect our children cannot be denied. Nowhere else in society are the rights of adults given preference over the rights of a child.
Ilario believes in the perseverance of the people’s voice by imposing term limits on Congress. The founding fathers envisioned public service by citizen legislators not the creation of career politician as an occupation.
Ilario believes perseverance of our economic future and by creating real fiscal accountability. That every department of the Federal government must admit that the present budgetary system is a failure and every department must make sacrifices, including pay cuts for the Congress, until we balance the budget and fix the entitlement system.
Samuel Adams wrote "Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote...that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country. When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe. I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. If at ever the time should come when vain & aspiring men possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its most experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
2 November 2010, we have to change our Congressman. Let’s elect a Congressman who really understands what it means to fight for “We The People.” Now is the time to vote for and elect Ilario Pantano.
