Republican voters of Cumberland County seek a “Leader to Lead” “The Republican Party” To Victory In 2012.
There are many that fear the truth, for the truth to them is like deadly venom from the bite of a Viper. Who among you, Cumberland County, will accept the truth and stand as an individual to be counted, for “Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.” I believe this to be truer today than ever before.
My voice and opinion is, “like a burr in the shoe of a marathon runner” to the leaders and officers of the Cumberland County GOP. I write for the truth to be exposed and widely disseminated to the Republican voters of Cumberland County, NC, that they also may make a sound choice in their decision for a “Leader.”
I ask my fellow Republican voters, do you believe we need to restore this country’s freedom, preserve our rights, and re-instill conservative values in ourselves and our leadership? Do you understand, “Freedom” is the state of not being imprisoned, enslaved, or otherwise constrained. That we, have the “Free Will,” with the ability of rational agents to exercise control over our actions, decisions, or choices…that “Political Freedom” is the absence of interference with the sovereignty of an individual by the use of coercion or aggression…and that “Economic Freedom,” most commonly defined as the freedom to produce, trade and consume any goods and services acquired without the use of force, fraud or theft.
Republicans in Cumberland County have seen its officials act as sheep in wolves clothing, with names such as, “RINO’s” (Republican In Name Only), and “Chameleon’s”… democrats giving the perception of being a Republican and carrying out their duties as if they were a Democrat. Some have said that we must accept these “RINO’s” and “Chameleons,” when in fact; we must eradicate them and return to our founding principles of the Republican Party and our Founding Fathers.
The Cumberland County GOP Chair must be a true conservative with unquestionable values, beliefs and integrity. Unlike our current CCGOP Chair who was a democrat until switching parties to run for City Council, because she couldn't get her way with the Democrat's. Three times she ran for City Council and 3 continuous times she loss. Why, one would ask, did she not win with three attempts? Was it because she blames others for her failure? A true leader is supposed to take responsibility for their successes and failures? This may be the first indicator why she didn’t get her way with the Democrat Party.
Her public criticism of other members of the Fayetteville’s Republican Women’s Club caused them to refuse her continued membership, so she left and created The Cumberland County Republican Women’s Club, crowning herself “Queen”, or was it President, maybe both.
In an article found in the Fayetteville Observer (Sept 13, 2006), Suzanne Rucker, wrote about two City Council members of Fayetteville,NC. City Councilwoman Juanita Gonzalez (who was also a candidate for a state Senate seat) and City Councilwoman Lois Kirby. The three, Suzanne, Juanita and Lois were members of the Fayetteville Republican Women’s Club and Juanita and Lois were Republican women elected to office. Suzanne’s article was written in September prior to the November election criticizing Councilwoman Juanita Gonzalez causing her to lose her bid for the state Senate seat, stating “Her political future is on the line in her district…” Now, isn’t the purpose of the Federated women's clubs’ is to promote and help elect Republican women and men to office. Many Republicans felt that Suzanne’s criticism in the newspaper caused Juanita Gonzalez defeat for the state Senate seat to her democrat opponent.
Suzanne’s false accusation of Councilwoman Lois Kirby as being a donor and supporter of Rick Glazier, which Representative Rick Glazier campaign finance reports proved there was no evidence of any contributions from Councilwoman Lois Kirby. It appears that Suzanne’s actions as a Republican seems more in favor for the Democrats.
Suzanne Rucker is again seeking to become the current Cumberland County GOP Chair. Her motives give the appearance that she apparently loves recognition, influence, prestige and power, yet she has failed the Republican voters of Cumberland County in which she is suppose to represent. It appears that she has shown over her two year tenure as CCGOP Chair she neither processions the qualities nor traits of a leader. For a leader leads by example, sets the example for others to follow and emulate. If she should win with her new slate of officers and the same old “I’ll run again and again” Republican candidates, then Cumberland County should not expect different results in 2012 as were in 2010. She has failed the Republican voters in Cumberland County, because she was unable to energize them to “GOTV, which means “GET OUT THE VOTE.”
As the Cumberland County GOP Chair, It appears that Suzanne deepest fear is the loss of her influence, prestige and power over those she seeks to control? “You!, the Republican Voter!”
Another article Suzanne wrote in the Fayetteville Observer stated these words, “These so-called minority leaders have one thing in mind-maintaining personal power by using the politics of division and hate.” Something Suzanne seems extremely comfortable using even today to keep her position as the Cumberland County GOP Chair.
As the Cumberland County GOP Chairperson, her handpicked candidates failed miserably in the primaries and in the elections. Some of the “People’s Choice” leading Republican candidates failed in district 8 in their primaries because of Suzanne’s attacks against them. As the CCGOP Chairperson, Suzanne, must have felt that she is above the rules and regulations of the CCGOP policies, since she violated the policies by supporting and endorsing candidates prior to their primaries. She has shown total bias and favoritism towards her handpicked candidates. With these violations, the CCGOP board and the members- at-large should have become outraged and demanded her immediate resignation, but none had the intestinal fortitude to stand up to her and that in its self places them in the same category and makes one wonder why she has a new slate of officers.
Candidates that want to represent “The People” are afraid to “Buck the System” for fear of reprisals from the CCGOP Chair if she is not voted out. Yet, these are the same candidates that want “your vote” to lead the Republican Party to victory in 2012? May I use the words of Abraham Lincoln, who said it best, "To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men."
Ronald Reagan said, "If you're afraid of the future, then get out of the way- stand aside. The people of this country are ready to move again." I say the voters of Cumberland County deserve better in their County GOP Chair and in the candidates that want to represent them. We, the Republican Voters of Cumberland County, should demand that our Cumberland County Republican Party Chair be a candidate we can trust and who is a leader that believes in “Making North Carolina A Red State.”
