Patriot PostThe Essential Question in Any Political Debate
By Mark Alexander · Thursday, September 1, 2011
The most important inquiry conservatives must posit in every policy debate: "What does our Constitution authorize and mandate?"
"The Constitution which at any time exists, 'till changed by an explicit and…

I was born and raised in an area of New York City called Ozone Park. Local residents referred to it, as OZ (oh zee). OZ was not an Emerald City nor did it have a yellow brick road leading to it. It was in fact, a blue-collar community of mostly patriotic people. OZ, unlike Oz, did not rely on a wizard for guidance. We relied on good old-fashioned wisdom. I think Dorothy and her entourage would have liked Ozone Park. They would have found an answer to their quests there. For instance the…

Read the home page to see the financial crime in the Wake county court, and evidence that the superior court judge in residence and the superior court clerk are responsible. Urge US Attorney George Holding to take action.

http://www.allgreatchange.org/2011/05/romney-obama-obamacare-healthcare.html

While the House Republicans and individual states continue to work to overturn Obamacare, an individual who advocated for the same thing in his own state is at the head of the pack for the Republican nomination.
After almost 4 years of conservative Republicans preaching about wanting to minimalize…

The releasing of Barack Obama’s birth certificate is long overdue. I am glad that he finally released it and that the debate is essentially over. With this having been a debate to begin with, especially with so many people believing that there was some merit to the argument against President Obama’s being a naturalized citizen, it seems as though the question would have been rectified a long…

Hi, since I read your column about the ipads I thought I'd share an interest of mine.
K-12 Schooling for my kids. I home schooled my two oldest who are in their 30's.
I also have a 9 yr old boy and a 12 yr old girl now attending Sunset and Williston.
I've taught "slow learners" in reading and math for 5th and 6th grades. This was done while I was on turn-arounds from Vietnam in the 70's.
A week before the evening public meeting, I gave a copy of my…

Deer Republicans So we’ve been hearing a lot of clamoring from the liberal media about whom the republican presidential candidates are going to be and when they’re going to declare. Problem is, the pen is mightier than the sword, and they got there ballpoint blades pointed at only one side of the field.
You see, when I hear the liberal media crying out for potential republican candidates to declare their running, all I hear is…

Your Undocumented Roommate
Hello, my name is Juan. Good news buddy, I’m going to be moving into your house with you! I’m gonna be your new roommate Michael! Can I call you Michael? I feel like I can call you Michael now.
How did I get here, you ask? Well your fence only surrounds like a third of your property. The Detroit Lions have better outside blocking. I just walked right in. That red-head Janet over there said it was cool.
Now I know you’ve been getting a lot…

So recently in Chicago (home lunches) and in Boston (sugar drinks) there have been efforts by the local government to cram their universal health doctrines down the throats of their citizens. The backlash was immediate. Perhaps the news would have gone down better with a spoon full of sugar.
It’s awfully sweet of the government to look after our best interest. After all, monitoring our diet goes along with the new “everybody’s gotta have skin in the game” universal healthcare plan…

A Non-Essential Life So in light of the near government shutdown we almost endured, where at the strike of midnight the “non-essential” employees would have had their cubicles turn into proverbial pumpkins, we started hearing about all of the horror stories of what apocalyptic results would occur. Well color me doubtful…….. and tan. Seriously, it’s almost summer and if I were any whiter I could cause the record to scratch just by…

Hypothetical question. What if I told you that you could make a great living, six figures a year, building those fantastic sand castles you see at the sand castle competitions? What would your first reaction be? “Well let me get my pants on, and I’d better learn how to build some of them there sand castles!” one might assume.
But you see, those people have honed their craft over years and years of working and toiling and sweating in the hot, hot sun. It’s enough sun to turn Edgar…

So a ten year old from Pittsburgh emptied out his $8,500 college fund to purchase a Super Bowl ring that once belonged to William “The Refrigerator” Perry. Enriched with true naïveté, he then hopped on a plane, did the Super Bowl Shuffle on over to Chicago, and hand delivered it to the gap toothed human appliance himself. A seemingly nice gesture. Many people in the comment sections seem to think so.
But hold on a minute. The Fridge was a professional athlete who made millions of…

Remember when you were little, and your even littler brother (or sister, I don’t want to be racist against females) would do that thing where he would put his index finger within a centimeter of your face, and then twirl it around mocking you “my personal space, can’t touch me, my personal space, can’t hit me”? Well, your little brother is now a democrat congressman. Good job. Thank your dad for me. I’ll be thanking your mom later.
You see, that’s exactly what the democrats have been…

Remember when the human meerkat Nancy Pelosi was accusing the Tea Party of being Astroturf? I know, I know. It’s hard for me to even remember past this morning’s breakfast. Not so sure that was sugar garnishing my cereal. But I digress, and vomit.
She claimed that the Tea Party was just a bunch of insurance company hacks bought and paid for by Big Insurance.
However, at the same time they were being accused of Big Insurance cronyism, the Tea Party was also getting ridiculed…
