Curtis Wright, Host of The Morning Beat, started his professional career as an office administrator in California for some of Los Angeles' largest law firms. Later, Curtis assumed the position of Facilities Manager with the Lockheed Corporate Headquarters in Burbank, California. There, as a member of the International Facilities Management Association, Curtis oversaw the management of facilities services, building construction and maintenance.
Curtis was recruited into the contract furniture industry as Director of Professional Services for Interior Resources in 1984 where he developed and managed a staff of over 65 professionals in planning and managing a vast array of major office interiors projects throughout the Southern California region.
In 1987, Curtis became a small business owner and went on to create Office Matrix, Inc.; The Triad Installation Company; Contract Furniture Group; Facilities Investment Group; and TX Office Installations, Inc., of Arlington, Texas.
Over the last twelve years, Curtis has been involved with the formation and management of several Homeowner Associations and civic organizations in southeastern North Carolina.
Curtis was one of the founding members and past President of the Council of Neighborhoods Association, Inc.; the Northeast Library Action Committee; the Year-Round Education Support Committee; and has served as the Treasurer on the Board of the Family & Neighborhoods Institute of North Carolina.
As a community commentator for some nine years on 980 WAAV Radio and Host of The Morning Beat on The Big Talker 93.7 and 106.3 fm, Curtis is actively involved in advocating important issues for both citizens, neighborhoods and homeowner associations in our community and across the State!
