Today, Tracy Walsh, a 44-year-old breast cancer survivor who made the decision to have drastic treatment – a double mastectomy rather than a lumpectomy so as to avoid cancer recurrence – came to Wilmington with Dallas Woodhouse, AFP-NC State Director, and Francis DeLuca, Civitas Institute Exec. Dir., to speak about her opposition to further government intervention in American health care. Her story is compelling!

Tracy believes that a government takeover would result in women having less control over their families’ health care decisions and their own health decisions, limiting their chances of survival when it comes to serious illnesses like breast cancer.
